Pullmantur heading for bankruptcy

by Port News Editorial Staff

Pullmantur Cruise’s bankruptcy administrator, Data Bankruptcy, will ask the court to start the company’s insolvency phase due to their being unable to set  a date for resuming their  activities.

This was reported by the Spanish media, pointing out that the uncertainty arising from the development of the pandemic is preventing the Royal Caribbean group’s shipping company from coping with its financial difficulties.

The media reports that Pullmantur has so far refunded 83% of the money owed to customers for cruises cancelled due to the pandemic emergency.

The company is also committed to guaranteeing its employees decent  leaving packages.
