Kuhne + Nagel closed its third quarter with record a net turnover of 8 billion euros and a 70% increase compared to the same period last year.
Driving the Swiss logistics group’s excellent financial performance were the results achieved in the shipping division, whose net turnover increased by 119.7%. Overall, the company handled 1.19 million TEUs in the period under review, with a slight drop of 1.7% on the third quarter of 2020.
Air shipments also performed well. Net revenues increased by 109.3% on 2020 while a total of 584 thousand tonnes of goods were handled (+65%).
Between August and September, the company’s operating profit amounted to 789 Swiss francs and its net income totaled 578 million, an increase of +112 and 117.3%, respectively, over the same quarter of the previous year.
