DALIAN Shipbuilding Industry Co has secured an order for six 16,000 TEU dual fuel container ships.
According to Lloyd’s List, which cites shipbuilding sources, the buyer is reportedly MSC.
The Chinese shipbuilder, owned by China State Shipbuilding Corp, said the new vessels will be equipped with dual-fuel WinGD engines. They will therefore be able to run on liquefied natural gas and, in the future, zero-emission ammonia.
