The reliability of global container line schedules fell to 32% in December 2021. This is the lowest figure ever recorded since 2011, i.e., since Sea-Intelligence began collecting data.
In the report just out, the research firm points out that schedule reliability has dropped 12.5% since 2020, with an average fluctuation between 32% and 42%. The average vessel delay time was up to 7.33 days last December.
Maersk proved to be the most dependable line, with a schedule reliability of 46.3%. This was followed by Hamburg Süd at 41.4%. The worst performer was Evergreen, at just 11.8%.
