Maersk ups its bets on Malaysia

AP Moller-Maersk has signed a memorandum of understanding with Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) to promote high-quality investments in Malaysia and develop its potential as a regional logistics hub.

Both pledged to work together to attract high-tech and high-impact investments in sectors such as automotive, electrical and electronics, machinery and equipment, medical devices, aerospace, renewable energy and consumer technology.

Maersk Malaysia started operating in 1975 and currently employs over 300 people at its 12 locations throughout Malaysia.
