The courses proposed by the ITS (Higher Technical Institute) I.S.Y.L., (Italian Super Yacht Life) Foundation dedicated to sustainable mobility and logistics will kick off on 30th October. They have been co-financed by the Tuscany ESF+ 2021/2027 PR and are part of ‘Giovanisì’, Tuscany Regional Administration’s project promoting the autonomy of young people.
The project – the result of a collaboration between the I.S.Y.L Foundation, the North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority and the Maremma & Tyrrhenian Chamber of Commerce – has been approved by Tuscany Regional Administration and is aimed at 25 secondary school diploma-holders/university graduates aged between 18 and 35.
The TECLOG project’s training proposal ranges from logistics to the port industry, safety to goods flow planning and management, and even touches on issues such as handling processes, inventory management, big data and IT tools for logistics management.
There is time until 13th October to submit applications. It will be possible to get an overview of the course at the open day organized in Livorno, at the Old Fortress, on 12th September. It will be an opportunity to illustrate the activities that the ITS offers, meet its teachers and staff and companies in the maritime cluster. They will be available to provide information and insights on the training proposal methods, terms of participation and timetables of the various activities (www.isyl.it).

According to PNA president, Luciano Guerrieri; “The open day will be an important occasion for the port cluster and future generations to meet, He stated that “together with the other promoters, we firmly believe in the potential of this ITS and are confident that it can represent a valid solution for people aspiring to enter the job market with a wealth of technical and professional skills.”
The President of the Chamber of Commerce, Riccardo Breda, expressed his satisfaction as well: “The project that we have widely supported is taking shape. This event that will give them the chance to fully understand the opportunities that this training course can offer and for companies to be able to meet the sector’s professional needs.”
Vincenzo Poerio, President of the I.S.Y.L Foundation, was extremely satisfied with the ITS course on logistics together with other courses specifically aimed at the yachting sector. “Logistics is of strategic importance for Livorno and Tuscany, and the training and preparation of new young people is a guarantee for companies in the sector to be able to conquer new markets in Italy and around the world,” he said.
