Yesterday the Port Network Authority (PNA) took part in the workshop ‘MarERASMUS 100%. I lavori del mare: dall’analogico al digitale’ held in Florence as part of the Didacta Italia 2025 exhibition, the most important event on training and innovation in the education world.

At the Indire stand, the PNA presented the European ‘NeXTraIn.PortS’, project financed by the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme, and aimed at innovating training through using immersive technologies. The project, implemented in collaboration with Brochesia, a leading technology company, envisages the implementation of XR (Extended Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) technology for port training.

“The event highlighted how the integration of technology can offer significant added value, enabling students and workers to acquire skills in a more effective and realistic way,” said the port administration’s senior training executive, Claudio Capuano.

During the exhibition, the PNA gave a practical demonstration on using assisted reality through the Brochesia platform and explained the opportunities the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme offers to support the education, training, youth and sports sectors.

“MarERASMUS 100%‘ has proven to be a fundamental opportunity for institutions, companies and industry operators to exchange views, confirming the strategic role of technological innovation in the training of future logistics and maritime transport professionals,’”Mr. Capuano concluded.
