The fourth INTERREG EUROPE call for proposals finances territorial cooperation projects aimed at improving and exchanging best practices in regional policy instruments. It covers all European countries and identifies the following areas as priorities: research, technological development and innovation (Thematic Objective 1 of the European Structural and Investment Funds); the competitiveness of SMEs (Thematic Objective 3); the transition to a low-carbon economy (Thematic Objective 4); and environmental protection and resource efficiency (Thematic Objective 6). The funds made available amount to approximately 74 million euros and fund projects with a maximum duration of five years and a total budget not exceeding 2 million euros. The specific rules of the program ensure a wide geographical coverage of the partnership of project proposals as well as alignment with current regional development and sector policies.
