The third call for proposals of the Interreg MED program is divided into two phases, a preliminary one, with the presentation of the project idea, which expires on 31st January 2019, and a complete project application, which expires on 27th June 2019
MED projects are aimed at improving sector policies and carrying out demonstration activities for testing and field-trials.
The areas covered by the call are related to Axis 1 ‘Blue Growth’, with the aim of supporting research and development in marine energy, maritime transport safety, aquaculture and fisheries, coastal tourism and biotechnology.
Other topics addressed by the call concern Axis 3, ‘Sustainable tourism’ and ‘Protection of biodiversity’, aimed at protecting the delicate balance of coastal territories and sustainable economic development over time. The budget for this call for proposals is 30 million euros, 22 million euros of which for Axis 3; only M2 and M3 (Testing and transfer of tested solutions) projects are eligible.
