Agreement with Chinese shipyard CIMC

Ammonia’s the word for Flli Cosulich

by Port News Editorial Staff

Singapore-based Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nantong Cimc Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering for building  a bunker tanker  for transporting and supplying  ammonia to ships.

According to the group, ammonia has great potential as a carbon-neutral marine fuel. In a press note the Italian company said it was ready to work with interested parties to overcome any safety issues.

The agreement with CIMC was reached less than a year after the joint development project began  with Rina and SeaTech.
