COSCO is to launch a new service transporting new cars from China to various Mediterranean ports, including Livorno.
Australian newspaper Baird Maritime announced the news. The new service is to be a monthly one. Some of the vehicles will be unloaded at Mediterranean ports and then transported to other countries in Europe.
This is COSCO’s fifth car-carrier service after it began setting up routes connecting China with ports in the Persian Gulf, South Africa, Europe and South America.
The first vessel on the service is scheduled to arrive in the port of Livorno on 14th March.
