CAPITAL Product Partners has announced that it has acquired four newbuildings currently under construction, i.e. three 13,278 TEU containerships, and a 174,000 cubic meter capacity LNG carrier. The latter, being built at Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyards, will be delivered next January and chartered to Hartree Partners Power & Gas Co. (UK) Ltd. for a period of five years with additional optional periods up to 2031.
The three containerships are currently under construction at South Korean Hyundai Samho Industries Co. and will be delivered in October 2022. They will be chartered to Hapag-Lloyd for a period of 10 years with additional optional periods expiring in October 2038 and May 2039.
