Captain Erik Dalege, the new President of EMPA – European Maritime Pilots’ Association, made his first trip to Italy. Over the few days he met the top management of Fedepiloti (the Italian Harbour Pilots Federation- Translator’s note) at their offices in Rome.
President Luigi Mennella and Director Giacomo Scarpati spoke with President Dalege about the key piloting issues in Europe.
The meeting was also an opportunity to start discussing the organization of the Empa General Meeting that Fedepiloti said it was “honored and proud” to host in Italy in 2023.
At the end of the meeting the European representative was presented with the Italian Harbour Pilots Federation’s crest.
