China has recently delivered the world’s largest DP shuttle tanker, the NS Pioneer, which specializes in transporting oil from platforms at sea to land.
The NS Pioneer has a 155,000 dwt capacity. It is 279 metres long, 48 metres wide and has a 23.7 metre draught. The vessel was designed and built by CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry (DSIC) shipyards and delivered to Shanghai Northsea Shipping, a subsidiary of CNOOC Petrochemicals Import & Export.
The ship will work in the Brazilian Buzios and Mero deepwater oil fields
