From 2026, a battery-powered electric barge will be used on the river route between Binh Duong and Cai Mep – a 180 km round trip. The barge will be supplied with energy directly from the new solar park to be built at the Gemalink submarine terminal.
The multinational company Nike has committed to using CMA CGM’s electric barge to transport its products from Binh Duong Province to Gemalink.
