CMA CGM has commissioned China State Shipbuilding Corp.’s shipyards to build 16 new boxships.
The mega order, worth 3.1 billion dollars, consists of twelve 15,000 TEU, dual-fuel, methanol-fueled vessels and four 23,000 TEU containerships running on LNG.
Jiangnan Shipyard and Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co will each build six of the 15,000 TEU units.
The four LNG-fuelled container ships are to be built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding
