COSCO Shipping has ordered a dozen 14,000 TEU ships from its subsidiary COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry in Yangzhou.
The 12 new vessels, worth a total of $2.15 billion, will be dual-fuel, capable of running on methanol, an eco-friendly fuel the world’s fourth-largest shipping company firmly believes in.
They will operate on trade routes between Asia and Latin America.
