On Tuesday, an armed drone hit the Israeli port of Eilat, a major new car hub.
The attack damaged the port, injuring two civilians, who, however, did not need to be hospitalized. Iraq’s Islamic Resistance has claimed responsibility.
Iranian-controlled Islamic forces had launched two drones against the port but one of them was intercepted by an Israeli Navy Sa’ar 5-class corvette.
The attack came amidst increasing tension in the region.
Israeli ports have seen their traffic volumes decline rapidly due to the war. Eilat has lost over 85% of its traffic since the Houthi campaign against Western shipping began.
