Leadership change at Maersk

ROBERT Uggla is the new chairman of AP Moller-Maersk. The Maersk dynasty descendant, grandson of Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller, son of the Danish shipowning company’s founding forefather, will take over from the current chairman, Jim Hagemann Snabe, who has been at the company’s helm since 2017.

Robert Mærsk Uggla, 43, will be appointed at the Danish group’s annual meeting, scheduled for Tuesday March 15th 2022, in Copenhagen. On that same day, the vice chairman of the board, Ane Mærsk McKinney Uggla, Robert Mærsk Uggla’s mother, will also leave office. Marc Engel will be appointed in her place.
