A demo day on the use of LNG and its supply operations. The event will take place at Vespucci freight village, on 15th September, starting at 10.00 a.m., as part of the European project GNL Facile, coordinated by the North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority, and developed with a view to facilitating the progressive reduction of the use of the most polluting fuels.
During the demo day, it will be possible to witness the refueling of three HGVs by a Mobile Fuel Station purchased with project funds from the Interreg IT-FR MARITIMO programme. The day will also be an opportunity to learn more about the safe management of Liquefied Natural Gas supply operations.
“The experimental day, at the end of this three-year project, is a fundamental stage in the ecological transition and decarbonization process implemented by the port system,” said Antonella Querci, head of Development, European Programmes and Innovation at the Port Network Authority. “The aim is to ensure the gradual introduction of more sustainable refueling methods and the reduction of fossil fuels for port, logistics and industrial use”.
On 16th September the Port Network Authority has organized a virtual conference to close the GNL Facile project. The event will be an opportunity to further examine the state of the art of the proliferation of LNG and the progressive introduction of green fuels for the decarbonization of the port and logistics sector.
