$ 1.1 billion operation

Maersk Supply Service to go to the DOF Group

by Port News Editorial Staff

The Norwegian DOF Group, specialized in maritime and underwater services for the offshore industry, is to take over Maersk Supply Service, a company providing maritime services to the offshore industry which, last year, was sold by the Danish shipowning group A.P. Møller-Mærsk to its parent company A.P. Møller Holding.

Under the acquisition agreement Maersk Supply Service is to be sold by Maersk Supply Service Holding (MSSH) to the newly established DOF Offshore Holding Denmark ApS, a company fully controlled by the DOF group.

The operation will allow MSSH to get 25% of DOF’s share capital. The transaction will be worth over $1.1 billion.
