Strategic agreement with Electricity Generation Authority of Thailand

MOL wants to set up a green value chain

by Port News Editorial Staff

MITSUI OSK Lines has signed an agreement with the Electricity Generation Authority of Thailand to set up a clean hydrogen and ammonia value chain from renewable energy sources in southern Thailand.

The agreement, which also involves Mitsubishi Co (Thailand) and Chiyoda Corp, will include a study on how to set up a series of supply chains for the production, storage, transport and utilization of clean hydrogen and ammonia from renewable energy sources in southern Thailand, and supply them to domestic and international markets.

MOL will also contribute to developing the clean energy sector in Thailand and to carbon neutrality initiatives around the world by conducting the study in collaboration with the Electricity Board.
