Ocean Network Express’ purchases in the USA and Rotterdam have been approved.
The Singapore-based company has been given the green light by regulatory authorities to acquire a 51% stake in two terminals, TraPac and Yusen (YTI), at the Port of Los Angeles, owned by Mitsui OSK Lines and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha respectively. The two terminal operators have a combined capacity of 4.3 million TEUs per year.
Green light also for the acquisition of a 20% share in Rotterdam World Gateway, a terminal handlling 2.6 million TEUs a year.
