Singapore, harbour pilot dies

A harbour pilot died last Sunday after falling overboard while leaving a tugboat to board a pilot launch in the waters off Singapore’s southern islands.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the PSA Marine pilot was wearing a life jacket at the time of the accident.

His body was recovered following a joint search and rescue operation by MPA, the Coast Guard and the Singapore Civil Defence Force. An investigation is currently underway.
