At its shipyard in Ancona , Fincantieri has delivered a new ship, the “Viking Mars”, to the Finnish company Viking, specialized in Baltic routes.
With a 47,800 DWT, the vessel is equipped with 465 cabins and will be able to cater for 930 passengers.
The “Viking Mars” is the eighth in its class. It was built with the support of various international design studios.
The Viking vessels are also equipped with high-efficiency engines, optimized hydrodynamics and hulls resulting in lower fuel consumption, and systems that minimize exhaust pollution and meet the strictest environmental regulations, all of which are indispensable in today’s cruise industry.
